Orting Veterans Village Breaks Ground

by | Oct 2, 2019

A tiny home community for homeless veterans has broken ground in Orting. The 35-unit community will have a community center as well as employment and education services, transportation, mentorship, and mental health and recovery resources available to the residents. The community is modeled after the Quixote Village community in Olympia. As the civil engineering firm, JMJ TEAM has been working with the project team for several years on site design, engineering and permitting. The groundbreaking, held October 1st, included community partners as well as former homeless veterans who have been impacted by similar projects. The project hopes to be completed by summer 2020.
